PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

1. Introduction

All good things start with a proper introduction. We ask all the right questions right from the beginning, to make sure we thoroughly understand your product needs and nuances.

  • You send us your initial enquiry (you can do that here[link to contact]) then we respond with a product brief for you to complete.

  • You complete the brief. Your opportunity to share information so that we can ensure we're the right team for you.

  • Our R&D lab team and lead chemist review your brief and may have a couple of clarifying questions.

  • Once we agree on the brief, we will send you an invoice for $1,000 ex GST for samples. Once paid, we can begin to research and develop your formula.

2. Research & Development

An exciting part of the process, this is where you see your products really come to life! We work with you to develop the perfect products for your brand.

  • You're now officially in the Research and Development stage. Our lab team will work to bring your brief to life.

  • We schedule your sample production, and once produced, we dispatch it to you.

  • Then, you complete the sample feedback form, which we review and action. We repeat this until you're pleased with the formula.

  • You approve the formula by sharing an approval document with us.

3. Packaging

An important part of any product is pinning down your packaging. We help develop and test this for you. Our experience of packaging, what works and what doesn't means you don't have to stress about this at all!

  • We receive packaging samples from you, which we then test, review and approve.

  • Once your formula and packaging have been tested and approved, we will send you a quote for your order.

4. Confirmation

Once your products and packaging are perfect, we can start manufacturing them!

  • You accept the quote and place the order.

  • We will write up a contract for us both to sign. We'll then create a new brief for production.

  • We share the packaging brief with you. It outlines the formulation and components.

  • We'll then send you a sales confirmation, and you'll only pay a 50% deposit of the total production run.

5. Completion & Delivery

During this stage, we manufacture your product - all you need to do is sit back and wait for them to arrive!

  • We place your product into stability testing for up to 16 weeks which runs concurrently with production lead time.

  • If you want your product labelled Certified Organic, we send the formula to certifiers who approve the organic percentage.

  • You will provide us with complete packaging, which we test and approve. Again, the artwork will need to be approved by independent certifiers (e.g. Australian Certified Organic).

  • You will send finalised packaging to us one month before the production date.

  • We'll let you know that your order is ready, and you pay the final balance before dispatch and delivery.

  • You will then receive your order!
