Why become Certified Organic?

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Did you know that there is a difference between organic, certified organic and all natural? With so much noise and so many buzz words about sustainable practices, organic products and being authentic in the industry, it can be tricky to know what means what.

At Cawarra Cosmetics, we provide clients with the choice to create genuinely sustainable, certified organic products, all certified through leading Australian certification bodies. These certifications make it easy for people to understand and trust a product. You can add the certification symbols to your products and website. We can ensure that your product is:

  • 100% naturally derived

  • Made from Certified Organic raw materials

  • Made with medicinal grade, therapeutic herbal and plant extracts

  • Enriched with cosmeceutical levels of active vitamins and soothing essential oils.

We use a unique, propriety natural preservative system that blends herbal extracts fortified with natural antioxidants and vitamins.

What are the most well-known certifications?

The most recognisable certifiers in Australia are ACO. With us, you can choose to certify with ACO and COSMOS Organic. We are also members of Choose Cruelty Free (CCF), an independent Australian Organisation that accredits when products are NOT tested on animals. We have helped many brands proudly display their logos. You may also like to get certified with the U.K based Vegan Society while you're thinking eco-friendly.

Why become certified organic?

Did you know that 'organic' is not currently regulated in Australia? That means products can claim 'organic' without following any regulations or having any standards in place. You can call just about anything 'organic' these days, except if you wish to export. There are rules and laws policed by AQIS (Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service) to help protect Australia's good name in overseas markets.

To export products as organic, you must be a certified organic processor or grower and have your manufacturing facility and formulations approved by an AQIS approved certifying body. Unfortunately, several Australian brands do not export and bypass this process, giving them an opportunity to claim 'organic' without certification. It's good to consider this when you're in the process of developing your product and brand. What's your long-term goal?

Consumers now know to look for certifications symbols. At Cawarra Cosmetic, we have been making natural skincare for over 40 years. We understand that product integrity has always been a priority for our clients.

How Do I Make the Shift to Certified Organic?

Making the switch to offering chemical-free, organic or certified organic products supports our health and the health of our natural environment. Suppose you want to transform your product into a certified organic favourite. In that case, you can work with our chemists and R&D teams to make this a reality.
